BIOGRAPHY

As a portrait photographer, I have a unique perspective and style that has been shaped by my beginnings as a fashion stylist. My eye for detail and composition has been honed through years of working with models and creating stunning fashion shoots.

But what truly sets me apart as a portrait photographer is my love for colors. I am constantly inspired by the vibrant hues found in art and the rich tones of history. Whether it's a bold pop of color or a subtle use of shades, I always strive to infuse my portraits with a touch of chromatic beauty.

My passion for colors and artistic inspiration also extends to my editing process. I carefully select and enhance the colors in each photo to create a visually striking and dynamic image. I believe that colors have the power to evoke emotions and tell a story, and I strive to capture that in my portraits.

But beyond my technical skills and artistic vision, what truly drives me as a portrait photographer is the ability to capture the essence of my subjects. Everyone has a unique story and beauty within them, and my goal is to showcase that through my photography. I love working with people and creating a comfortable and relaxed environment where their true selves can shine through.

In the end, my journey from fashion stylist to portrait photographer has been a fulfilling one. Combining my love for colors and artistic inspiration with my passion for connecting with people has allowed me to create meaningful and captivating portraits that will be cherished for years.

I am Manuela, a Colombian LA-based photographer with over five years of experience in photography.

I went to Milan, Italy, to study and work as a fashion stylist, getting involved with fashion and photography. My eye for detail, colors, and composition developed through years of working with models and creating stunning fashion shoots. I returned to school to get my BFA in photography at the New York Film Academy on the Los Angeles campus. After finishing my BFA, I worked as a photographer assistant and an art curator, and now I'm a freelance photographer and artist.

My Manifesto as a photographer expresses my unique way of feeling, seeing, and expressing color through the art of photography.
